I am a girl and have a thin line of hair running up my belly button from my pants line.. Its grown darker as the years have gone by. Im wondering what i could do that wouldnt leave it worse than it is now (i.e stubbly, darker, more etc)

I know others also have this problem, any ideas?

Shaving would cause it to grow back horrible. and wax would possible increase the amount of hair ??

There's products at the pharmacy to lighten those little unwanted hair. Same product women use on unwanted facial hair.

The only two proven ways of reducing or permanantly removing hair from any area is via electrolysis or laser hair removal.

Laser hair removal can result in reduction and possible permanent hair removal, but it is not 100% effective yet.

Electrolysis is not as painful as it sounds and is the only way to get permanent hair removal.

You must consult qualified people to have electrolysis or laser hair removal done, and the cost can be high, but it is worth it, as it is a one-time thing and you will never have to wax or shave again.

There are a few more alternatives (Non-permanent) to laser and electrolysis.

These include depillatory cream (Hard to use but generally quick and painless when it works - Lasts as long as shaving), bleaching (Bleach hair to white so it is 'invisible'), shaving (Which could lead to ingrown hairs), and waxing (Lasts fairly long, could also lead to ingrown hairs).
