Very short layers on rather long, thin hair?

i have rather thin, long brown hair but i would like to have some very short layers cut into the top.

will this look awful because i have such thin hair?

and also...i tried to dye my brown hair a darker brown today and it just looks the same.. annoying but can anyone recoomend a colour they have used to get this colour hair:

I have long dark brown hair which is also thin and today a few hours i go i had it layered lol, my hair was thin and my hairdresser did point that out to me but she said when she cut it you could see the thickness already, so do try getting layers!

with short layers

its good for ppl with thin hair to get short layer becasue well there hair is thin!

If your hair is thin, its better to get short layers, because short layers work best with thin hair.

those kinds of short, choppy styles go good with thin hair

as for the colour, use the darkest brown you can find.
